Kashag hosts Compassion 2020 delegates led by Washington Lt. Governor Habib

The Kashag of Central Tibetan Administration hosted the Lieutenant Governor of Washington state, Cyrus Habib and his delegation comprising of members of the Association of Washington Generals, community leaders, and students.

The delegates had just concluded a meeting with His Holiness the Dalai Lama this morning where they discussed on the topic: “Cultivating Compassion in the Next Generation”. 700-800 youths from Seattle University, Whitman College and Evergreen State College also joined the conversation through a life teleconference.

The Officiating President, Kalon Karma Yeshi greeted the Lt. Governor Cyrus Habib and the delegates with traditional scarves and CTA mementoes as they arrived at the Kashag secretariat.

Kalon Phagpa Tsering Labrang of Department of Security, Kalon Choekyong Wangchuk, Department of Health and Kashag Secretary Tsegyal Chukya Dranyi were present at the reception.
