Dignitaries observe Tibetan New Year, Losar.
On the occasion of Tibetan New Year, the New Delhi Bureau Office, Settlement Office and concerned Indian offices observed a ceremony where Shri Kiren Rijiju, Hon Minister for Law & Justice, Govt of India presided as the chief guest, alongside Kyabje Yongzin Ling Choktrul Rinpoche as the special guest and officiating Sikyong Kalon Gyari Dolma of the Security Department. Also present, were Shri Indresh Kumar, Patron, Bharat Tibbat Sahyog Manch, Rinchen Lhamo, Member of National Commission for Minorities, Shri Dhanya Kumar Jinappa Gunde, Shri Abhijit Halder, DG, International Buddhist Confederation and others.
Chief guest, Shri Kiren Rijiju wished Tibetans gathering on Losar and extolled the leadership of His Holiness the Dalai Lama under whom Tibetans follow good conduct and abide by the laws of the land and His Holiness’ advocacy for peace which is lauded by people all over the world.
Special guest, Kyabje Yongzin Ling Choktrul Rinpoche advised Tibetans to follow the guidance of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in their daily life.
Officiating Sikyong Kalon Gyari Dolma of the Security Department thanked Kiren Rijiju for his role in the passage of the Tibetan Rehabilitation Policy 2014 while appealing for his continued support on the same matter.
BTSM Patron Indresh Kumar and Member of the National Commission for Minorities, Rinchen Lhamo thanked the central government for their support to the Tibetans and assured them of continued support to Tibetans.
Similarly, Representative Lobsang Shastri expressed his well-wishes and prayers for His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s long life and harmony for Tibetans.
